Darryl King Video director
Director, Writer and Producer, Darryl King is a renaissance man full of vision and incredible creativity, which has flowed over many years of working throughout the entertainment spectrum.
After starting out as a popular college radio disc jockey, he went on to work for Alpha International Records as Director of Video Promotions, establishing relationships with outlets like B.E.T., M.T.V., The Box, etc. allowing for the labels artists and visual projects to be seen all over the world. Simultaneously, King also served as Assistant Director on the videos produced by the label for artists such as “Lorenzo”,“Robbie Mychals” and “Sunni”.
Eventually he went out on his own and was the director and producer of the Rap Television show, Sounds of the Underground, that lasted 5 years in the Philadelphia market with many relationships forged with labels like Def Jam, Sony & Polygram.
Being a Director at heart, Darryl went on to direct plenty of Music Videos for various artists, “Da Youngstas”,“Marion Meadows”,“Jackal the Bear” and “Terrance T”, to name a few that also garnered plenty of viewership across the country.
What seemed like a detour became a blessing in disguise as Darryl became Manager of Sound of Market record store where he was able to formulate relationships and create a solid reputation with many of the music industries power brokers and developing artists who went on to become stars. By bringing in such artists like “Ledisi”,“Method Man”,“Kirk Franklin”, “Shaquille O’Neil”,“Lalah Hathaway” among the hundreds, made the Sound of Market record store one of the flagship records stores in the country.
After the store closure, Darryl went back to his first love... directing, and started his new company, Euphoria Media with a mission of “the vision is for an appointed time... now is that time!”
We are living in an age where the ability to bring into the world ones creative vision has never been more a reality, and with much passion and hard work... those ideas can come to pass. Euphoria Media has already done videos for “Slim of 112,” Tiffany Jones, Ronin Ali, along with many other visual projects for clients like handling the production and editing for the indie film, “Detox”.
Coming into the new year. Darryl King and Euphoria Media will be launching new television and film projects for the world to see.

From percussionist, keyboardist, youth music director, to the funny bright eyed old man, expressing his affections as a young Mack; or the young financially successful business mogul, who’s ego stretches across the Atlantic Ocean ,yet the real man’s authenticity cannot be identified between the measure of his two ears (who is he really); how about the office clerk that ignored the inner voice directing him toward his better self; to say the least, the middle-aged deacon that had to shine along with the preacher; or heaven forbid – the Vegas style African American Elvis Presley, disguised as, Justice of the Peace….the list goes on and on! Raw talent, dedication to the project, coupled with personal characteristics of strengths and vulnerability visualized through each character - he allows both, cast and audience, to experience the full gamut of the essence of just being Human!
